Overview
The KanexPro HAECOAX is a straightforward HDMI audio de-embedder designed for reliable audio extraction from HDMI sources in legacy and value-tier installations. It extracts HDMI digital audio output simultaneously to stereo analog and S/PDIF digital outputs — providing uncompressed multichannel audio up to 5.1 channel surround sound from any HDTV-compatible source at resolutions up to 1080p/60. A front-panel 2.0CH / 5.1CH button lets users instantly toggle between stereo and surround audio output modes. Automatic input cable equalization compensates for signal loss on longer HDMI input cable runs, and the unit simultaneously outputs to Toslink optical, coaxial S/PDIF, and 3.5mm stereo analog.
