KanexPro Adaptive USB-C 3.2 Gen2 Active Optical Cables are the first full-featured USB-C AOC solution that simultaneously delivers DisplayPort video, USB 3.2 10Gbps data, and PD 60W charging over runs of 5, 10, or 15 meters. An embedded switching chip automatically selects the optimal lane configuration — no firmware, no configuration, completely plug-and-play.

In 2-lane mode: DP 1.4 video + USB 3.2 Gen2 10Gbps data + PD 60W charging simultaneously. In 4-lane mode: DP 2.1 (4-lane) for maximum display bandwidth + USB 2.0 + PD 60W. GGP fiber construction enables a 2mm static bend radius with 5-core optical + 12-copper hybrid in a 6.5mm diameter cable — EMI-immune, flexible, and backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1. Does it need a separate power supply?

No. It is a full-featured active optical cable with zinc-alloy shells at both ends.

How tightly can it be bent and how hard pulled?

20mm dynamic and 10mm static bend radius, 100N long-term and 200N short-term pull. The cable is 6.5mm in diameter with a black PVC jacket, 10 metres (33 ft.) long.

The display comes up at a lower resolution than expected.

The cable adapts between 4-lane and 2-lane modes. 8K@60Hz needs 4-lane; in 2-lane mode the ceiling is 4K@60Hz with 10Gbps of USB data.

The laptop is not charging through it.

Power delivery is 60W at 20V/3A. A laptop asking for more than 60W will not charge at full rate over this cable.
