Extends uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDMI, eARC/ARC audio return, USB 2.0, and control signals up to 328 feet over a single CAT6A/7 cable. The KanexPro EXT-HDBT3ARC-100M is an HDBaseT 3.0 extender kit (transmitter + receiver) that delivers full 18Gbps video bandwidth with eARC/ARC audio routing, bi-directional IR, RS-232, Gigabit Ethernet, and configurable USB 2.0 — eliminating the need for multiple cable runs in long-distance AV installations.
Compliant with HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2, the extender supports HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG pass-through alongside Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DSD audio formats. Six eARC/ARC/SPDIF switching scenes provide flexible audio return routing to amplifiers and soundbars. The transmitter supports audio embedding and de-embedding via 3.5mm analog I/O. Bi-directional 24V POC allows a single power supply to power both units.

Why choose this over a cheaper HDMI-over-CAT extender?
Low-cost extenders compress video (H.264/265) introducing latency and artifacts. HDBaseT 3.0 passes uncompressed 4K@60 4:4:4 with zero-frame latency, plus eARC, USB, and control signals.
Does the eARC support Dolby Atmos?
eARC mode passes the TV's audio (including Atmos via eARC-compatible TVs) back to the transmitter side. SPDIF output is limited to 5.1CH in eARC mode.
What are the six audio switching scenes?
The extender supports eARC, ARC, and SPDIF modes combined with LOOP OUT or AUDIO ONLY on the transmitter HDMI OUT — yielding six distinct routing configurations for flexible audio integration.
Can I connect this to an AV receiver or soundbar at the source side?
Yes. In eARC/ARC mode, audio returns from the receiver-side display to the transmitter HDMI IN, HDMI OUT (audio only), and SPDIF OUT ports for connection to amplifiers or soundbars.
Does the USB support KVM applications?
Yes. USB 2.0 at 350Mbps supports keyboard, mouse, webcam, and USB storage in Host or Device mode — configurable via a physical switch on both TX and RX.
What cable do I need?
CAT6A or CAT7 shielded, terminated with standard RJ45. Maximum 100m/328ft. Premium High Speed HDMI cables recommended for source and display connections.
Can I use one power supply for both units?
Yes — bi-directional 24V POC means one 24V/1A adapter powers both the transmitter and receiver over the CAT cable. Connect to either unit.
No audio output from the transmitter?
Verify the SELECT button is set to the correct mode (ARC or SPDIF). Check the LOOP OUT/AUDIO ONLY switch position. Ensure eARC/ARC is enabled in the display settings.
Link LED is flashing or off?
Flashing indicates Low Power Mode — verify CAT cable is properly terminated and within 100m. Off means no connection — check cable continuity and RJ45 termination.
Can I use the Ethernet pass-through for network access?
Yes. The 1GbE Ethernet port on both TX and RX provides full Gigabit network connectivity for displays, PCs, or control systems at both ends of the CAT cable run.
