Overview

Route audio simultaneously to a soundbar, amplifier, optical, and analog output from a single eARC TV port — one device replaces two. The KanexPro AUD-EARC-8K is a 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 eARC Audio Adapter with a dedicated Soundbar eARC HDMI output, Amp AUDIO HDMI output, S/PDIF optical, and analog L/R — all active at once from one commercial-grade unit. It does not decode or downmix audio: each output carries the incoming format unchanged and plays the formats it supports. The HDMI outputs take everything up to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, optical takes PCM 2.0 and Dolby/DTS 5.1, and analog L/R plays PCM 2.0 only, so set the TV or source to PCM 2.0 for sound on L/R.

Fully compliant with HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3, it passes video at up to 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz with HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG intact. Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS:X are supported on all HDMI outputs. An 8-mode DIP switch provides tool-free EDID management; CEC enables TV remotes to control sources and volume across any connected eARC sound system.

What audio formats are supported on the HDMI outputs?
LPCM 7.1CH, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS:X.
Does the analog L/R output on AUD-EARC-8K downmix multichannel LPCM to stereo?
No. The analog L/R output on AUD-EARC-8K does not downmix or decode multichannel audio. It only supports PCM 2.0, so it produces no audio if the eARC source sends multichannel LPCM (5.1/7.1) or a Dolby Digital/DTS bitstream. Set the TV's eARC audio output to PCM 2.0 (stereo) for L/R output to work.
Does the AUD-EARC-8K analog L/R output downmix Dolby, DTS or multichannel PCM audio to stereo?
No. The AUD-EARC-8K does not decode or downmix audio. Each output carries the input format unchanged and plays only formats it supports. The analog L/R output supports PCM 2.0 only, so set the TV or source audio output to PCM 2.0 to get sound on L/R.
The eARC LED is flashing — what does that mean?
eARC mode is enabled but CEC communication is not working properly. Check CEC settings on the TV and connected devices.
How do I set EDID?
Use the 8-position DIP switch. 8 preconfigured profiles in FRL12G and FRL10G across 2.0/5.1/7.1CH modes. No software required.
Can this feed both a soundbar and an amplifier simultaneously?
Yes — Soundbar eARC HDMI OUT and Amp AUDIO HDMI OUT are both active simultaneously, along with optical and L/R.
How does this replace two DVDO units?
Combines soundbar eARC HDMI out and amplifier HDMI audio out in one unit — replacing DVDO AudioE-2 and AudioE-3 at lower total cost with one power supply.
Does it support Sonos Arc and Beam?
Yes — the Soundbar eARC OUT delivers full Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to SONOS ARC, Beam, and any eARC-compatible soundbar.
What power supply is required?
Included 5V/2A multinational supply (CE/FCC/UL, AC 100-240V 50/60Hz). Max 5.2W.
What HDMI cable length is recommended for 8K?
Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 up to 3m/10ft for 8K; up to 8m/26ft for 4K@60Hz.
