Bridges the gap between HDMI 2.1 eARC displays and soundbars lacking native eARC support by de-embedding ARC/eARC audio from any 8K-capable TV or HDMI source and routing it via HDMI to the soundbar — including SONOS ARC, SONOS Beam, and any eARC soundbar. HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 compliant at 48Gbps FRL with zero video and audio latency.
Designed for CEDIA integrators specifying retrofit and new-build installations, the AUD-SBAR-8K handles 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz with full HDR pass-through (HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG) and HDMI 2.1 protocols including VRR, ALLM, QMS, QFT, and SBTM. Eight DIP-switch EDID modes and a USB-C firmware update port ensure long-term field serviceability.

Does the AUD-SBAR-8K support Dolby MAT, and does the source see the soundbar's audio capabilities with eARC mode off?
Yes. Dolby MAT is supported. With eARC mode off, the AUD-SBAR-8K merges the eARC soundbar's audio capabilities with the display's EDID and presents the combined EDID to the source's HDMI input.
Which audio formats reach the soundbar over eARC?
LPCM, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos and DTS on both the HDMI and the eARC output.
What video resolutions pass through the adapter?
Up to 8K@60Hz (4:2:0, 12-bit) and 4K@120Hz (4:4:4, 12-bit). It is HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 compliant with 48Gbps FRL and 18Gbps TMDS bandwidth.
Does it pass HDR and the HDMI 2.1 gaming features?
Yes. HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG pass through, along with VRR, ALLM, QMS, QFT and SBTM.
How long a cable can I run into it at 8K?
2 to 3 metres (6.6 to 10 ft) of Ultra HDMI 2.1 cable at 8K@60Hz. At 4K@60Hz the figure is 5m/16ft, at 4K@30Hz 10m/33ft, and at 1080p 15m/49ft.
Will it work with an eARC soundbar that is not the same brand as the TV?
Yes. It de-embeds HDMI input audio or TV eARC audio to any eARC soundbar through the Soundbar eARC OUT, carrying full Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
Can the TV remote control volume through it?
Yes. CEC passes through, including CEC volume control from the TV to the source and to the soundbar.
How is the adapter powered?
From the included CE/FCC/UL certified multinational supply, DC 5V/1A. It draws 4.13W at most.
The soundbar gets no audio. What should I check first?
Set the EDID DIP switches correctly: the 8-mode block either copies the sink EDID or selects a fixed FRL12G or FRL10G profile. An EDID the source cannot satisfy is the usual cause of silence.
Is there any lip-sync delay to correct?
No. The adapter adds no video latency and no audio latency.
