Overview

The KanexPro AUD-DTE-USB is a bidirectional Dante® USB audio interface that connects any Windows or Mac computer to a Dante® network as a fully functional 2-channel audio endpoint. Built on the Dante Ultimo solution with USB Audio Class 1.0 compliance, it requires no drivers and appears instantly as a standard sound card.

Audio transmits from the computer to the Dante® network and returns simultaneously, enabling plug-and-play integration of PC-based conferencing, recording, and streaming platforms into professional Dante® AoIP ecosystems. Powered by USB from the connected computer or by PoE from the network switch.

What is in the box?
The package includes the Dante 2CH USB Audio Interface, a 6ft USB-A to USB-B cable, and a user manual.
Why choose the AUD-DTE-USB for a soft-codec or recording workflow?
Its bidirectional USB Audio Class 1.0 interface requires no drivers and lets a laptop or conferencing PC send and receive audio to a Dante network simultaneously, without a separate USB-to-Dante encoder and Dante-to-USB decoder pair.
Is the connection to the Dante network bidirectional?
Yes. The unit simultaneously encodes USB audio to Dante and decodes Dante audio back to the connected computer, functioning as a 2-channel USB Audio Class 1.0 sound card.
How does the AUD-DTE-USB complement other KanexPro Dante endpoints?
It bridges any USB-equipped computer directly into the same Dante network used by devices such as the AUD-DTE-2CHAMP amplifier, AUD-DTE-XLRIN, or AUD-DTE-BT, letting a single Dante Controller session route computer audio alongside other Dante sources.
What audio formats does the AUD-DTE-USB support?
It carries PCM 2CH audio at 44.1kHz, 48kHz, or 96kHz, 24-bit, compliant with USB Audio Device Class V1.0 over USB 2.0 Full Speed.
Can the AUD-DTE-USB be used for MIC input and speaker output simultaneously?
Yes. It functions as an analog USB sound card supporting MIC input and SPK output through the connected computer while simultaneously encoding to and decoding from the Dante network.
Do I need to install drivers to use the AUD-DTE-USB?
No. It is compliant with USB Audio Device Class Specification V1.0 and is recognized automatically as a standard sound card on Windows and Mac.
How is the AUD-DTE-USB powered?
It draws power from PoE IEEE 802.3af Class 0 through the DANTE RJ45 port, or from the host computer's USB port at 5V/500mA when the USB-B cable is connected; maximum power consumption is 1W.
What are the dimensions and weight of the AUD-DTE-USB?
4.72 in x 1.85 in x 1.02 in (120 x 47 x 26mm), 0.41 lbs (0.19kg), in a black metal enclosure.
The computer does not recognize the AUD-DTE-USB as an audio device - what should I check?
Confirm the USB-B port is connected with the included USB-A to USB-B cable and that the device is selected as the audio input/output in the operating system or application; no drivers are required since it uses USB Audio Device Class V1.0.
